I saw the film Memento recently, and I have to say that I enjoyed it immensely. It was one of those films that make me go and search on the Net, and see what people think it all means. I soon discovered that there was a special chronological edition of the film on the limited edition DVD. Now, the way that the story is presented in 'backward' chunks is used to great effect, and is certainly one of the films string points; but I was also curious about seeing it in the more usual chronological order. Since I didn't have the limited edition (because I rented it), I set about playing with the menus. I couldn't find any mention on the Web of this special edition on the standard release DVD, so my hopes weren't particularly high; but I did find it eventually. It's in the special features menu. When the animation is showing the usual list of special features, wait until the one named 'Memento Mori' appears. When this has just rotated away from the horizontal, there is a brief interlude before the selections repeat. This is the time to press Play. You should be rewarded with an invitation to view the chronological version of the story. Well I was, anyway. Good Luck.
